J. Hennessy
Portfolio Manager and Chief Investment Officer
Neil Hennessy is a seasoned portfolio manager with 30
years of financial industry experience. Neil began his
career as a financial advisor, and in 1989 he opened
his own broker/dealer firm. In 1996, Neil founded his
own asset management firm and launched his first mutual
fund. Neil has a successful history acquiring asset
management companies and starting mutual funds, and
today he manages the entire family of quantitatively
managed Hennessy Funds.
Neil is a recognized and respected asset manager who
has ranked among Barron's Top 100 Mutual Fund
Managers in each of the last six years. Neil’s unique
strength comes from employing a consistent and repeatable
investment process, combining time-tested, purely quantitative
stock selection formulas with a highly disciplined management
style. Neil leads his investment team to manage portfolios
for the sole benefit of their shareholders, never straying
from their proven investment formulas.
Neil graduated from the University of San Diego and
the Wharton School of Upper Management through the SIA.
Frank
Ingarra, Jr.
Co-Portfolio Manager
Frank Ingarra, Jr. has over ten years of experience
in portfolio management and equities trading, and began
his financial career working alongside famed “What Works
on Wall Street” author, James O’Shaughnessy as Head
Trader for his Cornerstone Growth and Cornerstone Value
Funds. Frank has continued to manage these funds since
they were acquired by Hennessy Funds in 2000, and today
is the co-portfolio manager for the entire family of
quantitatively managed Hennessy Funds.
Frank's strength as a money manager lies in his commitment
to quantitative, formula-based investing. Having done
extensive back-testing of various investment formulas,
Frank understands the importance of non-emotional investing
and adhering to a disciplined, repeatable stock selection
process. Frank enjoys utilizing his technical trading
expertise to benefit Hennessy Funds' shareholders.
Frank was awarded an MBA from the Frank G. Zarb School
of Business at Hofstra University and holds a Bachelor's
degree in Engineering and Business from Villanova University.
